TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of all products by Cake Eighty Seven. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Product Information
All products are handmade and may vary slightly in appearance from images shown. We take care to ensure accurate descriptions, but minor variations in colour, design, and finish may occur.

3. Ordering & Payment
All orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

4. Shipping & Delivery
We dispatch orders using a tracked delivery service (e.g. Royal Mail Tracked 24).

  • Dispatch times are estimates and not guaranteed.

  • Delivery delays caused by the courier are outside our control.

  • Responsibility for the goods passes to the customer once the order has been dispatched.

5. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery details.

  • We are not liable for orders delivered to incorrect addresses provided at checkout.

  • Additional charges may apply for redelivery or address corrections.

6. Missed Deliveries
If delivery is attempted and missed:

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to rearrange delivery or collection.

  • We are not responsible for product quality if delivery is delayed due to missed delivery attempts.

7. Perishable Goods Policy
Our products are perishable and made to order.

  • We do not accept returns due to the nature of the product.

  • Refunds or replacements are only offered if the product arrives damaged or faulty.

8. Damage & Issues
If your order arrives damaged:

  • You must contact us within 24 hours of delivery

  • You must provide clear photographic evidence of:

    • The product

    • The packaging

    • Any damage

Failure to provide evidence within this timeframe may result in your claim being declined.

9. Storage & Handling
Customers must follow all storage instructions provided.

  • We are not responsible for damage caused by improper storage, handling, or environmental conditions (e.g. heat exposure).

  • Products should be stored as advised immediately upon delivery.

10. Allergens
Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including but not limited to:

  • Gluten

  • Dairy

  • Eggs

  • Nuts

It is the customer’s responsibility to check ingredient information before purchasing. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

11. Cancellations & Changes
Due to the made-to-order nature of our products:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled or changed once placed.

  • Exceptions may be made at our discretion.

12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the order placed.

13. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
